STAWI does not only help farmers’ organizations and groups in production of better quality agro-produce, but it also provides technical support in terms of knowledge and skills development regarding value chain addition in all agricultural interventions in order to add value in each stage of agro-produce under the program. To maintain Value Chain Addition Development Approach, STAWI fosters adoption of Good Agricultural Practices – “GAP” to all farmers’ organization under the umbrella by encouraging best practices for maintaining agro-production principles including adoption to quality management systems, best agro- processing intervention, packing, labeling, branding as well as linking MBOs to profitable and reliable markets across the region.
