Societies Transformation and Welfare Improvements (STAWI) Foundation operates as a mission-driven foundation in Tanzania, dedicated to addressing social, economic, and developmental challenges affecting vulnerable communities. The organization mobilizes financial, technical, and human resources to improve livelihoods, expand access to education, and create sustainable pathways out of poverty. STAWI implements structured, community-driven programs and strategic partnerships to ensure inclusive, long-term development impact.
In the education sector, STAWI invests in improving access, quality, and equity in learning opportunities. The foundation supports schools, provides scholarships, and delivers vocational and technical training programs aligned with market needs. Additionally, STAWI promotes digital learning and skills development, particularly for youth and women to enhance employability, foster innovation, and empower communities for socio-economic transformation.
To advance economic growth, STAWI designs and implements programs that promote entrepreneurship, financial inclusion, and market access. The foundation provides seed funding, business development services, mentorship, and capacity building for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
